Barn door rollers for my sliding 'barn door' in the master bedroom! I have been looking for these on Craigslist and eBay but they're usually priced around $100 and up. I got these for $4 - $2 apiece. I was delighted! Some scrubbing, primer, and spray paint will do wonders for them. The wheels still roll freely. YIPPEE! Score!!
Another score I made was this light for $15.
The light that has been in my foyer since we moved here almost 5 years ago has been an awful eyesore but I wasn't willing to spend the money for a new light. I've been watching garage sales, thrift stores, etc. for one to replace it but haven't found one I liked until last week. This one fits the style/colors SO much better! Here is a 'before' picture so you can see what an improvement (imho) I made.
So there they are: my ReStore 'treasures'. What have you found lately?

That is awesome that you found just the right hardware for your doors! They will make the room.
ReplyDeleteGreat find. I love to check out the Restore. You never know what you'll find there. I found a McCoy vase one day and the next time I went they had an antique wicker rocker. I'm assuming these were things that were left in older houses they updated or something.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! You got some great finds.
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a ReStore near me :(
Hi Rachel! I'm so glad you liked my island..it's one of my most favorite things in my whole house! It actually has a little story behind it that I didn't really want to write about on my post. The old table was my aunts...she got murdered after she gave it to my mom. My mom had the old table in storage..she didn't really have anywhere to put it, but didn't want to get rid of it either, so she gave it to me. :) That's why the table turned island, is so important to me. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you find a table..cause this is the sturdiest island you'll ever find!
Hugs

PS..you got a STEAL on the barn door rollers!!! Lucky you! :)
