Inspiration in Blog Land

Ok, I know I've been absentee lately. I have no excuse for myself and no explanation is forthcoming. I have been s.l.o.w.l.y. working on a project (or 2) but until I have them complete, I thought I'd show you so things that inspire me. First up: Insulator Lights from Girl in Air.
I {heart} these gems! I'm sure I can find some discarded insulators somewhere to make my own sometime. Michell gives a great tutorial how to make them here.

Next, I love this old window 'makeover' by Pam at Our Adventures in Home Improvement.
This is another item on my 'must find' list. Read Pam's post to see how she aged the shelf for the bottom of the window here.

On my project list is giving the kitchen a face lift. I love what Emily at Nest Nesting Nested has done. I love beadboard - I might have to try something like this.

Emily gives an awesome tutorial here.

And last, but not least, I love almost everything Wonder Woman aka Miss Mustard Seed does. Her blog is loaded with inspiration. My latest 'must try' is chalk paint. Marian (Miss Mustard Seed) uses it on everything. Check out this eye candy:

Marian's blog is chock full of useful/helpful information and it's loaded with inspiration. Go over here and check it out. I'm warning you, don't do it unless you want at least one hour of your time to disappear while you are completely oblivious that more than 5 minutes have passed.

So, there you have it. Just a few of the things that are on my (never ending) to-do list. Oh, when will I find time?! (I'm a mother, first and foremost)

  1. Chalk paint is great, but way too expensive. Try making your own by mixing gesso (I buy it at Michaels or Hobby Lobby in the artist painting department) and leftover paint you have around the garage. Come over to my blog and see some stuff I've done with my homemade chalky paint.
