Main Bath Makeover Plans~ revisited and revised

Over a year ago (seriously, has it really been that long ago?!), I shared before pictures of our main bathroom. I also shared my plans for it's makeover.

Well, those plans have changed so much that I decided to do a new post.

The things that haven't changed are; it's still on a budget and it's still getting a makeover.
Most everything else about my plan has changed.

I seriously dislike that bathroom. I avoid going in there as much as possible.

Let's take a look why....
Leaky sink faucet with awful handles
Leaky tub faucet
Hideous blue counter top
GRUNGY (with emphasis on the grungy) blue carpet
Outdated light fixture
Are you getting the picture?!

I won't share specific plans for the makeover yet but it's nothing like my original plan.

I'm also pretty sure it's gonna happen this summer. YAY!

Stay tuned!

I've been saving my pennies and have accumulated a little 'nest egg'.
To stretch the 'nest egg' farther, I enter every giveaway that comes along.
(So far I've not been lucky enough to win any.)

Edit: Actually, I did win! I forgot until now (3 hours later) that I won a $10 Lowe's
card from Melissa at Kensington Cottage! I have it 'squirreled away until I need
something for this project. Thanks, Melissa!!

The lovely Courtney, on her equally lovely blog
is giving away a $100 Lowe's gift card to one lucky reader.
Oh, the possibilities!

Go on over and enter; someone has to win. It might be you.

  1. I don't know if you remember, but... those were the 'in' colors back in the day, and it seems like it was just yesterday. Pretty much anything you do in there is going to be a BIG improvement, not so much because it is so outdated, but because you do an awesome makeover job on your projects. Go girl. I love the sign-off 'From the Farmhouse'...

    1. Thanks for the vote of confidence, Helen!

I don't remember these colors but I remember burgundy and hunter green. :) Makes me wonder what colors in my house I will say 'ugh' to in 10 years.
